Scope and Execution
EKANEC teams worked in the Zubair oil field development project in Iraq-Basra as a subcontractor for the DS and Sicim JV. The scope included 110,000 inches of spool fabrication and installation at relevant locations across 52 well hook-ups and 5 degassing stations. Civil, coating, painting, tie-in and platform teams completed related pipeline and piping activities, including early welding works for 250 km of flow lines and oil transfer lines in sizes including 6, 8, 10, 16, 24, 36 and 52 inches.
